This correspondence is regarding your request for public records received on April 10, 2017, in which you requested to inspect the following:
. . . .T-4-FR-2016-4522. By this request, we are asking for the production of all police reports, documents, videos, audio recordings, recordings of interviews with witnesses and the Defendant, safehouse videos, SANE reports, and handwritten statements in connection with APD case number 150014344 charging Mr. Griffin with criminal sexual penetration of a minor. The case was investigated by Detective Jeff Jones beginning on February 14, 2015 and ending (to the best of our knowledge) on July 27, 2016. The complaining witness's initials are reported to be N.G.
We cannot permit inspection of these records because they are exempt from disclosure for the following reasons under the Inspection of Public Records Act: including NMSA 1978, § 14-2-1A)(4) (confidential law enforcement records); § 14-2-1(A)(1) (records pertaining to physical or mental examinations); § 14-2-1(A)(8) (otherwise provided by law), including, but not limited to: NMSA 1978, § 32A-4-1 et. seq. (Abuse and Neglect Act); NM Const. Art. II, § 24 (Rights of Crime Victims).
