We have been asked to investigate an accident, which is your file 17-0103640. In accordance with the New Mexico Inspection of Public Records Act I am at this time submitting my request for copies of any and all investigative documents gathered by the NMSP or other agencies including but not limited to the accident report, incident report, interviews, statements, diagrams/measurements (diagrams in color - legible), event recorder information digital file (ie. Airbag Control Module, Electronic Control Module, Powertrain Control Module, GPS, ect…), 911 calls, belt tape, dash cam, lapel cam, CAD report, supplements, photographs (digital format), MTD report, reconstruction report, computations/calculations, autopsy reports, toxicology reports, and any/all documents pertaining to this case.
We cannot permit inspection of these records because they are exempt from disclosure under IPRA, NMSA 1978, § 14-2-1(A)(4) (confidential law enforcement records); and NMSA 1978, § 14-2-1(A)(8) (otherwise provided by law).
