My name is Krista Osborne, I am a licensed private investigator on the West Coast in Washington State. I have been working on a case for quite sometime now and had been looking for past criminal history court and police history in Albuquerque on a convicted sex offender from Washington State. He spent his earlier years in New Mexico prior to relocating to Washington.
In October of 2017, I submitted a records request for the focus of my investigation, Alberto Saiz and after the 15 day wait period, they returned the first attachment response which notes there are no records/history. I hired private investigators in New Mexico specifically to repeat said searches and was told the same thing, no records or history.
Today I was fortunate to get the second attachment from Clark County Superior Court which itemizes Alberto Saiz's criminal history with associated case numbers. This report had been provided to the Washington State Department of Corrections back in 1984 by the Director of Records Division, I Trujillo, and authorized by Maurice L. Cordova NMSP-Records.
I am trying to get copies of each of those cases with court documents, police reports etc and am happy to apply and pay for the copies but am unsure what different process I should follow in light of results to date and then affirmation that there are in fact a lot of significant records that will be relevant towards the case I am working on.
** The information provided was dates of incidents, not case numbers. A search has been completed of our records prior to 1984 for the dates indicated with the name provided; the search resulted in No Records.
Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or comments.
