This law firm is representing Daniel Rivera in regard to the above-referenced matter. This lawsuit involves a motor vehicle incident involving Maria Galicia, Petra Ramirez, and Enedina Gonzales and our client Daniel Rivera which occurred on April 28, 2017 at 6:53 p.m. Enclosed is a copy of the police report. Under the New Mexico Inspection of Public Records Act, § 14-2-1 NMSA 1978 et seq., I am requesting an opportunity to inspect, in addition to an opportunity to obtain copies and electronic copies of the following public records:
- All incident reports, field notes, recorded and transcribed statements, investigation materials, photographs, dash cam videos, and 911 recordings regarding this accident.
The New Mexico Inspection of Public Records Act requires a response time of no less than three business days. If access to or copies of the records I am requesting will take longer than this amount of time, please contact me with information about when I might expect copies or the ability to inspect the requested records.
If you deny any or all of this request, please cite each specific exemption you feel justifies
the refusal to release the information and notify me of the appeal procedures available to me
under the law.

During our search, my unit (APD IPRA) discovered the investigation is being handled by the Valencia County Sheriff’s Office. All other material is also with the Valencia County Sheriff’s office. For your convenience, I have included contact information for VCSO. The records may be maintained by the Valencia County Sheriff’s Office.
