This Inspection of Public Records request is made pursuant to 14-2-1 NMSA 1978 and pursuant to the City of Albuquerque Ordinance 2-7-6-1.
1.) Our office is requesting a copy of any and all recording(s) made by, captured by or in possession of the City of Albuquerque or any City of Albuquerque Police Department Officers, PSAs or employees, relating to the motor vehicle crash near the intersection of San Mateo Blvd. and Comanche Rd. on June 10, 2016. The APD crash report Case # for the referenced motor vehicle crash is 160053018. The APD crash report CAD # for the above referenced motor vehicle crash is 161621218. The request is for all the audio and/or video recordings captured by, including but not limited to, any 911 dispatch recording, lapel camera, belt tape, taser video, traffic camera, real-time crime center recording, camera or any other recording device, relating to the above dispatched call for service. The recordings are required to be made and retained pursuant to the Albuquerque Police Department Standard Operating Procedure – General Order’s Manual 1-39-2 (B):
- All sworn department personnel will record each and every contact with a citizen during their shift that is the result of a dispatched call for service . . . and will record the entirety of citizen contact. . . The recordings will be saved for no less than 120 days.
2.) Our office is also requesting a copy of all CAD printouts relating to the above referenced motor vehicle crash.
Our request does not include a request for a copy of the police report relating to the above referenced APD Case # and CAD #. A copy of the police report is attached to this e-mail. Please feel free to contact our office should you have any questions or concerns regarding our request.
