This is a formal request under the New Mexico Inspection of Public Records Act. I wish to inspect the following records pertaining to Albuquerque law enforcement interviewing Michelle Martens (DOB: 07/14/1981, Case Number: T4FR2016-4556).
-All recorded video, audio, and written law enforcement interviews with Michelle Martens from January 1st, 2016 to December 31st, 2016.
Please be aware that my office redacted protected personal identifier information contained in non-exempt responsive records, pursuant to NMSA 1978, § 14-2-1(B). As for the other records requested, we cannot permit inspection of those records because they are exempt from disclosure for the following reasons under the Inspection of Public Records Act: including NMSA 1978, § 14-2-1A)(4) (confidential law enforcement records); § 14-2-1(A)(8) (otherwise provided by law), including, but not limited to: NMSA 1978, § 32A-4-1 et. seq. (Abuse and Neglect Act); NMSA 1978, § 32A-4-1 et. seq. (Victim’s Rights); and NM Const. Art. II, § 24 (Rights of Crime Victims).
