Dear Ms. McDonald:
On or about July 18, 2018, we received your public records request for the following records:
Under the New Mexico Inspection of Public Records Act (IPRA), N.M. Stat. Ann. § 14-2-1, I write to request APD's seizure and forfeiture reports from 2016 and 2017, as required to be prepared pursuant to N.M. Stat. Ann. § 31-27-9(D). Electronic copies of the documents in machine-readable format are preferred and can be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org.
This communication will confirm our completion of your request. Our search took us longer than expected because the City mistakenly read your request to cover any Albuquerque Police Department police reports that led to DWI seizures from 2016 and 2017. We apologize for that delay and we sincerely appreciate your patience and willingness to clarify your intended scope. As a result of that clarification, we continued to search for the correct records, however, we were unable to locate any such responsive records. We have searched for the responsive records in all of the locations where those records would be maintained if the City possessed those records. It is our opinion that we do not maintain any responsive records related to your request. My office will now close your public records request.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
