Pursuant to the Inspection of Public Records Act, NMSA 1978, Sections 14-2-1 to -12 (1947, as amended), I am writing to request a copy of all public records relating to an accident that occurred on March 23, 2018, Report No. 632502.
We are requesting all public records to include, but not limited to, the following:

- Narrative/Supplemental Reports
- Lapel and/or Dash camera videos
- Traffic camera videos
- Audio recordings
- 911 audio recordings/transcripts and CAD reports

In making this request, I am seeking all materials deemed “public records” under the Public Records Act including: “all documents, papers, letters, books, maps, tapes, photographs, recordings and other materials, regardless of physical form or characteristics, that are used, created, received, maintained or held by [your agency],” irrespective of whether such records “are required by law to be created or maintained.” NMSA 1978, § 14-2-6 (1993). Moreover, if this request is not made to the custodian having possession of or responsibility for the public records requested herein, I ask that you “promptly forward the request to the custodian of the requested public records, if known, and notify the requester.” NMSA 1978, § 14-2-8 (1993).

During our search, my unit (APD IPRA) discovered the investigation is being handled by the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office. All other material is also with the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s office.
