  • COVID-19 Pandemic:  Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, many City employees are working remotely and requests for public records are taking significantly longer to process.  Pursuant to the guidance published by the Office of the Attorney General, while we are working diligently to fulfill requests, some requests may take 45 to 60 days to process.  

 

  • Police Records:  If you are requesting records from the Albuquerque Police Department relating to a particular incident or offense, please provide as much information as possible about the incident including, if known, the 9 digit case number, 9 digit CAD number, name, date of birth, and social security number of parties involved, and location of incident.  Without this information it may take us longer to identify responsive records.

 

  • You may find your records faster by searching records that are already available at http://www.cabq.gov. Just type the records you are seeking in the search box on the top right and click enter.

 

  • Keep an eye out for our Smart Alerts that will refer you to a link with records that may already be available, as you type the description in the box.
